The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at St. Paul’s in the confession and glad confidence that our Lord, as He says, gives not only bread and wine but His very body and blood to eat and drink for the forgiveness of sins. For our members, receiving the Lord’s Supper signifies a unity in faith, life, and worship.
If you are a member of another LCMS congregation please announce your intention to celebrate the Supper with us by speaking to the Pastor or the Elder of the day.
If you are a member of another denomination or hold a different confession then ours we ask you to kindly refrain from communing today. Yet, if you wish to commune with us in the future please make an appointment to visit with the Pastor.
And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them. Mark 10:13-16 ESV
We love seeing children in church with their parents. We also realize children don't always enjoy sitting quietly for long periods of time. To help parents entertain their younger children during the service, we have weekly Children's bulletins and activity bags available. If you feel it necessary to remove your child during the service, we have a cry room in the Narthex with audio for parents to follow along with the service until returning.
